I was wondering if anyone knew of any events happening in the Williamsburg area on Halloween (ghost tours, etc.). It's Wednesday night, and there has to be something spooky going on! Do any of the locals have any scary places/tours that they would recommend?
There is this program at Colonial Williamsburg - I'm not sure how much it costs... have to call.

I am so going to this! I've listened to a podcast about their ghost tours and they sound great. Who else is in?

Podcasts of the "Cry Witch" series will be available this month too:
"The first podcast on Oct. 22 will feature testimony of witnesses from a re-enacted 1706 trial of Grace Sherwood, a Virginia woman accused of being a witch. CW [Colonial Williamsburg] said the verdict will be announced in the second podcast on Oct. 29, but "listeners can evaluate the evidence and decide for themselves if the voice they hear is that of a witch.""
The William & Mary Symphony Orchestra will perform spooky
classics by Saint-Saens, Berlioz & Grieg, plus selections from
Pirates of the Caribbean 2. The winner of the costume contest will conduct the orchestra at the end all part of the WMSO Halloween Concert & Costume Contest on Wednesday at 8pm in the University Center Commonwealth Auditorium, $5 General/$1 Students/Free for children under 12.
